Pavan Nigam is a technology entrepreneur and investor who has co-founded and led multiple technology companies. They co-founded WebMD in 1995 and remain involved with the company, which was profiled in Michael Lewis's The New New Thing. They served as Chairman, CEO and Founder of Cendura from 2002 to 2006, a data-center automation company that Computer Associates acquired in 2006. They are a co-founder of the IIT Kanpur Entrepreneurship Forum (2012–present) and a founding partner at Inspovation Ventures (2011–present), and they are a member of the University of Wisconsin–Madison Board of Visitors (CS) (2006–present). Their career includes leadership roles at Silicon Graphics (GM, 1989–1995), Healtheon/WebMD (Founder, CTO and EVP Products, 1996–2000), a Board Member role at the US-India Business Council (1998–2005), and founding/leadership of Trackle.com (2008–2009).
