Walid Amara

Walid Amara is an accomplished cardiologist and educator, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Collège de Médecine des Hôpitaux de Paris since September 2024. As President of the French College of Cardiologists CNCH since November 2015, Walid Amara coordinates cardiology public hospitals in Paris and its suburbs. Additionally, Walid Amara is a member of the Conseil d'Administration de la Société Française de Cardiologie and has been the Coordinator of the Rythmology Group of the CNCH since 2011, focusing on clinical trials and educational initiatives in electrophysiology and cardiology. With a significant role at WebMD as the Scientific Director for Medscape and theheart, Walid Amara has also been Head of the Rythmology Unit at GHI Le Raincy-Montfermeil since 2003, where a range of cardiac procedures are performed. Educational contributions include proctoring ICD and CRT implantations and managing programs in France and North Africa. Walid Amara holds an M.D. in Rythmology/Electrophysiology from Pierre and Marie Curie University and a DES in cardiology from Faculté de médecine Saint-Antoine.
