Fabien Gandon is a prominent scientific leader and researcher with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and data science. Since January 2004, Gandon has served as the Scientific Leader for the Wimmics Research Team and Senior Researcher at INRIA, currently holding the position of Vice Head of Science at Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée. Gandon co-founded :probabl. in February 2024 and acts as a Scientific Advisor. Additionally, Gandon has been the Co-president of the Scientific Board and a Professor at Data ScienceTech Institute since 2015. Within Université Côte d'Azur, Gandon holds an AI chair from 3IA Côte d'Azur and works as a Lecturer in computer science. Gandon has represented INRIA at W3C since 2004 and has held positions as a director of the Qwant-Inria Joint Lab, Visiting Scholar at Stanford University, and Visiting Research Scientist at CSIRO's Data61. Gandon's academic credentials include a Post-Doc from Carnegie Mellon University, a PhD in Computer Science from Université Côte d'Azur, and an MSc in Maths and Computer Science from Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Rouen.
