Mark Foltz is an experienced software engineer and technical lead at Google Inc. since September 2003, specializing in Chrome Media and leading a team to develop technologies for connected media devices and cloud services. Since March 2014, Mark has also contributed significantly to the W3C as the primary author of the Open Screen Protocol and serves as a specification editor for the Presentation API within the Second Screen Presentation Working Group. Prior to their roles at Google and W3C, Mark was a research assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on software visualization and design, and worked as a software engineer at Emode, Inc. Mark holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
