Sylvia Cadena has approximately 30 years of experience in fundraising, design, management, and reporting across Latin America and the Asia Pacific, focusing on social, economic, and cultural development through Internet and Web technologies. As the Chief Development Officer at the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) since September 2024, they are setting strategic directions for internationalization, accessibility, privacy, and security initiatives. Previously, Sylvia spent 16 years at APNIC, where they led various programs, including the Information Society Innovation Fund and the Switch! Project, which supports gender diversity in technology.
