About Trollbound

Trollbound is an ambitious narrative-driven game inspired by Nordic folklore, blending realism with rich storytelling to create an immersive experience. The project is being developed in Unreal Engine 5.3 and 5.4 by Webthruster Games, a startup team that includes AAA veterans, recent graduates, and students. Together, we’re working to bring the magic of Nordic culture to life in a way that’s bold, unique, and portfolio-worthy for everyone involved.

Our Mission

As a startup, WebThruster Games is committed to fostering creativity, collaboration, and growth. Our current team is composed of talented individuals at all levels of their careers, united by their passion for storytelling and game development. While Trollbound is a volunteer-driven project at this stage, we aim to build a solid foundation that attracts funding and opportunities, with the potential to transition into paid roles in the future.

Why Volunteer?

We understand that volunteering isn’t for everyone, but for those who join us, there are unique advantages.
•	Professional Growth: Work with a team of AAA professionals and peers, gaining hands-on experience in a high-quality project.
•	Portfolio Building: Create standout work in a narrative-heavy game steeped in Nordic culture—a unique addition to your portfolio.
•	Collaborative Environment: Be part of a team that values innovation, storytelling, and the opportunity to build something remarkable from the ground up.

While there’s no guarantee of future compensation, this project offers an invaluable experience for anyone eager to make their mark in game development.

Our Vision for the Future

Securing funding is an active goal for Trollbound and WebThruster Games. As the project grows and gains visibility, we aim to transition into a funded studio, with the potential for paid opportunities down the line. For now, we’re focused on creating something extraordinary with a dedicated and passionate team.
