Ryan Hoover

Ryan Hoover is the investor at Weekend Fund and the previous founder & CEO of Product Hunt from November 2013 to October 2020. Product Hunt is the place to discover your next favorite thing. Hoover also went to Tradecraft from September 2013 to May 2014 as an EIR training smart people to succeed in traction roles at high growth startups. Before that, they were the co-creator of Startup Edition from May 2013 to January 2014, which is a gathering of bloggers in the startup community that share their wisdom and response to a single question each week. Ryan also has their own website, ryanhoover.me, where they write about their experiences in the business world. Prior to their current position, Hoover was the director of product at PlayHaven from October 2010 to January 2014, where they changed the way game developers managed the business of their games. Ryan was also a product manager at InstantAction from April 2009 to October 2010 and a service and lending consultant at Pentagon Federal Credit Union from October 2006 to September 2009. Their earliest work history dates back to February 2004 when they were a customer service agent at Jerry's Home Improvement Center until May 2005.

Ryan Hoover graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship Concentration and a minor in Computer Information Technology. Ryan is also certified by ScrumAlliance as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
