Jay Cherry

Jay Cherry is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations, strategy, and sales, currently serving as Head of Sales at Opendoor since August 2018 and as Venture Partner at Wefunder since November 2023. Prior roles at Opendoor include Sr. Director of Operations and Strategy and Division GM. In addition, Jay holds the position of Managing Partner at Sunrise Fund since September 2021 and has recently advised Nisolo as Chief Operating Officer from January to December 2023. Jay's previous experience includes significant leadership roles at DaVita from September 2013 to August 2018, where responsibilities included Division Vice President and Regional Operations Director. Jay possesses an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida. Notably, Jay also contributed to humanitarian efforts as HaitiOne Director at Mission of Hope Haiti, coordinating food and supply distribution for thousands of schoolchildren across the country.
