Murat Cekic

Murat Cekic is an accomplished expert in human rights and civil society capacity development, currently serving as the Etkiniz EU Program Key Expert 3 at WEglobal since January 2019. With extensive experience in training program development, human rights monitoring support, and civil society needs assessments, Murat also holds roles as a Senior Expert with Sivil Düşün and a Senior Consultant with Freedom House, contributing to capacity-building initiatives for civil society organizations. Additionally, Murat has held key positions with GIZ GmbH, the German Marshall Fund, and has provided strategic consultancy for various NGOs, including the Turkish Family Health and Planning Foundation. Murat Cekic holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Middle East Technical University, a Master's degree in Social Work as a Human Rights Profession from Alice-Salomon-Fachhochschule, and a certificate in NGO Leadership from Syracuse University.
