Rémi Wildschut has a diverse work experience starting in 2010 with PowerInvest, an investment group where they were an Economic Member. From 2013 to 2014, they worked at AIESEC Ghent, an international student organization, where they started as a team member in external relations and later became the Vice President of Business Development for the East and West Flanders region. In 2014, Rémi joined EVONET Belgium NV as a Finance and Process Manager before becoming a Co-founder and CFO at Meritel NV in 2016. Rémi co-founded WeGroup, a Belgian InsurTech company, in 2017 and served as a Co-founder and Non-executive Director, as well as the Co-founder and Captain Cash. Rémi's most recent role is as the Co-founder of Smartendr, a fast-growing foodtech start-up that offers an easy QR-based ordering application for the hospitality sector.
Rémi Wildschut started their education in 2008 at Ghent University, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Economics in 2013. Rémi then pursued a Master's Degree in Corporate Finance at the same university from 2013 to 2014. In 2015, Rémi attended Vlerick Business School, where they completed an Executive Master Class in Corporate Finance. In April 2016, they obtained a certification in Venture Capital and Private Equity from Vlerick Business School. In March 2016, they also obtained a certification in Structuring and Financing M&A Deals from the same institution. Prior to these certifications, Rémi obtained certifications in BPMN: Advanced and BPMN: Basics in March 2015 and January 2015, respectively, from Cevora/Cefora.
