Wei Yap Architects is an Australian design practice based in Tbilisi, providing Architecture, Interior Design, and Master Planning services throughout Georgia and the wider Caucasus region.

As the first foreign architecture practice to establish a permanent operational base in Tbilisi with full Architect-of-Record (AOR) capabilities, the practice holds a unique position in the country’s evolving architectural and development landscape.

The studio is distinguished not only by its international stewardship but also by its deep integration into the local development ecosystem. Supported by a professional team of more than 30+ local architects, designers, master planners, lawyers and anthropologists, as well as an international design network, the practice combines global expertise with on-the-ground Georgian knowledge and delivery capacity, operating beyond the model of a transient foreign consultant.

Wei Yap Architects operates at the intersection of practice, research, policy, development, ecology, and the built environment, with a particular focus on complex projects that require the coordination of design vision, technical delivery, planning strategy, and multidisciplinary integration.

The studio connects Georgia with the broader international architectural discourse and delivers world-class, contextually responsive, and technically rigorous design solutions. Through this approach, the practice fosters meaningful exchange between local knowledge and culture and global design expertise.
