Sameer Varshney has a strong and diverse work experience. Sameer began their career as a Research Engineer at CAS Technologies Pvt Ltd in 1998. From there, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Tech Mahindra, where they developed the Mediation Server Software for Lucent Technologies' AnyMedia Access System.
In 2002, Sameer joined Huawei Technologies India as a Technical Leader, focusing on the SoftSwitch 3000. Sameer designed and developed various modules, including the BAM Maintain module and the Alarm GUI.
Sameer then transitioned to the role of System Architect at Huawei Technologies India Pvt Ltd in 2006. Sameer contributed to the development of the Security Integrated Management System (SIMS) for Enterprise Security. Sameer also worked on the Software Upgrade Agent (SUA) and Software Upgrade Server (SUS) for Patch Management.
In 2012, Sameer took on the role of Directory Engineering at Huawei Technologies India. Sameer set up cross-functional teams and led the delivery of Huawei IP platform for Base Station/RNC. Sameer also led multiple R&D teams and drove technology planning and research projects.
Sameer continued their journey at Huawei Technologies India Pvt Ltd in 2017 as an Engineering Leader. Sameer played a key role in establishing the India Storage team as the NAS Unstructured Data Center of Excellence. Sameer also led the India File System Team in developing Scale-out NAS Products from scratch.
Currently, Sameer Varshney is the Head of Engineering, India at WEKA since 2023.
