Alpha Tam

Alpha Tam has a diverse work experience in the field of system engineering and DevOps. From 2016, Tam worked at WeLab Bank, where they held various positions including Manager II, System Engineering - Virtual Bank, Manager I, System Engineering - Virtual Bank, System Engineer Lead - Virtual Bank, and Senior DevOps Engineer - Virtual Bank. In these roles, Tam was responsible for building and running the virtual banking infrastructure, automating processes, and improving security policies to meet HKMA compliance. Prior to their time at WeLab Bank, Tam worked as a DevOps Engineer at WeLend FinTech. They also have experience as a Systems Engineer at ACW Distribution (HK) Limited and as an IT System Engineer II at OpenRice Limited. Tam started their career as an IT Service Support at 88DB Hong Kong Limited.

Alpha Tam completed their Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Computing from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, studying from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Higher Diploma in Computer and Information Engineering from the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, where they studied from 2008 to 2012.

In terms of certifications, Alpha Tam holds multiple certifications. They obtained the Aviatrix Certified Engineer - Multi-Cloud Network Associate and Aviatrix Certified Engineer - Multi-Cloud Network Professional certifications from Aviatrix in March 2021. Additionally, they obtained the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN in October 2013. Furthermore, they are certified as a VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization from VMware in August 2014.

Alpha Tam also holds several certifications from Cisco. They obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification in April 2012 and the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Switching certification in October 2012. Additionally, they obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft in April 2012, as well as the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications in Active Directory, Network Infrastructure, and Windows Deploy in September 2011.
