Simon Loong

Simon Loong is the Founder and CEO of WeLab, a leading online lending platform in China with over 10 million registered users. Simon has over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, including senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank, CPA Australia, and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Loong has been a driving force in the development of the fintech industry in Hong Kong and China. Simon was a Board Member of the FinTech Association of Hong Kong from June 2018 to June 2019, and is currently a member of the Financial Services Advisory Committee of the Shenzhen Consumer Council.

Under Loong's leadership, WeLab has become one of the most innovative and successful fintech companies in China. It has been awarded numerous accolades, including being named one of the "Top 50 Fintech Companies in the World" by KPMG and one of the "Top 50 Chinese Tech Companies" by Forbes.

Simon Loong has a Master of Science in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney. Simon is also a Certified Public Accountant in Australia.
