Mark Blackmon

Mark Blackmon is an experienced well control instructor and supervisor with a strong background in drilling and completions. Currently serving as a Contract Instructor at Well Control School since July 2017, Mark previously worked as a Senior Well Control Instructor at Welltrain from April 2015 to June 2017. Mark holds certifications from IWCF and IADC in well control. From January 2013 to October 2015, Mark acted as a Relief Drill Site Supervisor and Well Control Coach at Shell, where responsibilities included supervising all aspects of drilling operations. Mark earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Texas at Permian Basin between 1974 and 1976.
