Michael Dop

Michael Dop has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Michael started their career in 2007 as a Research Assistant Intern at the Air Force Institute of Technology. In 2009, they joined Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a Software Developer and later served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant until 2011.

In 2011, Michael interned as a Software Engineer at Harris Corporation. Michael then returned to Harris Corporation in 2012 as an NGI Software Engineer. From 2013 to 2015, they held the role of Dream Product Owner and Technical Lead, where they managed a software team and worked on cloud-based data analytics and visualization products.

In 2015, Michael took on the role of SkyFusion Software Lead at Harris Corporation. In this role, they led a team of engineers to build a microservice architecture system for airspace management. Michael implemented various technologies and methodologies such as continuous integration and deployment to AWS, cloud formation templates, AWS Lambda for serverless REST APIs, and continuous monitoring and logging stack.

Michael's most recent role was as a Senior Cloud Engineer at WellHive since April 2020.

Michael Dop attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2006 to 2011. During this time, they earned both a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Software Engineering.
