Ross Cassidy

Ross Cassidy has over two decades of work experience in the energy and oil industry. Ross currently holds the position of Vice President Middle East and North Africa Research at Welligence Energy Analytics since March 2022. Prior to that, Ross worked at Wood Mackenzie for over 16 years, holding various senior research management roles. These include Senior Research Manager for MENA Upstream Oil and Gas, where they led a team of analysts and advised clients on the impact of volatile oil markets and OPEC strategy during the Covid pandemic. Ross also served as Senior Research Manager for North Sea Upstream Oil and Gas, where they delivered thought-leading analysis on the changing corporate landscape and economic recovery potential in the North Sea. Ross also worked as Senior Research Manager for Norway Upstream Oil and Gas, focusing on company financial resilience, capital discipline, and cost reduction. Additionally, they served as Lead Analyst for North West Europe Upstream Research and Analyst for MENA and South East Asia Upstream Research. Ross began their career as an Audit Trainee at Deloitte.

Ross Cassidy completed their Master's Degree in Accounting and Business/Management at The University of Edinburgh from 1998 to 2002.
