John Owens

John Owens is an experienced information technology professional currently serving as the Vice President of Information Technology at Welliver since November 2021. Prior to this role, John held several positions at Corning Incorporated, including Principal Domain Architect - Network, IT Manager, Service Owner for Cyber Security, and WAN/Internet Technical Leader from June 2014 to November 2021. John's earlier experiences include leadership roles at Computer Task Group as Network Application Engineering Lead, Performance Systems Development as Systems & Network Administrator, and teaching as a Cisco Academy Instructor at GST BOCES. John also operated Owens Consulting as a Computer Networking Consultant from January 1994 to December 2001. John began a formative career in technology as a Spanish Cryptologic Linguist in the United States Marine Corps from 1987 to 1993.
