Throughout their career, Thompson has demonstrated proven operations experience, strategic planning skills, and expertise in managing multiple contracts and personnel on a nationwide basis. David has also shown proficiency in areas such as marketing, proposal development, compliance auditing, customer relations, and change management. Thompson's work experience highlights their ability to provide overall operational and strategic direction in healthcare and accountability for community corrections partners. David has been responsible for organizational performance, strategic planning, business development, service enhancement, client satisfaction, and legislative satisfaction.

David Thompson earned a Bachelor's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 1990-1992. David then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from Webster University from 1992-1994. In 2015, they obtained the certification of Certified Correctional Healthcare Professional from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
