Iris Smith

Iris Smith has extensive work experience in finance and management roles. Iris is currently serving as the Director of Finance at Wellpath, where they are responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business and driving the company's financial strategy and planning. Prior to this, Iris held the position of Director of Finance at Optim Health System.

Before joining Optim Health System, Iris worked at McLaren Medical Management as a Regional Financial Analyst. In this role, they were responsible for identifying and implementing profit initiatives in revenue, operations, and finance functions. Iris also supported the CFO in cost analysis, improving financial status, and establishing policies and procedures.

Earlier in their career, Iris worked at IDA Housing as a Consultant/Manager. Iris managed the financial statements, led FP&A activities, and supervised a team of accounting clerks.

Before IDA Housing, Iris gained substantial experience at McKesson. Iris served as a Regional Compliance Auditor/Control Specialist, conducting financial and operational audits in multiple distribution centers. Iris also held various roles, including Distribution Center Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Accounting Manager, where they managed financial statements, led FP&A efforts, and oversaw accounting functions. Iris also played a key role in opening the Livonia pharmaceutical distribution center.

Throughout their career, Iris has demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, strategic planning, and team management.

Iris Smith holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Auburn University at Montgomery.
