James Ulager

James Ulager, MD, FAAFP, FASAM, currently serves as the Statewide Medical Director at Wellpath, focusing on ensuring access to high-quality medical care and addiction treatment for the incarcerated population in Vermont. With extensive leadership experience, Ulager has a proven track record in developing and implementing clinical operational improvements. They have also worked as a Medical Director at PursueCare and a Family Physician at MyCatholicDoctor, contributing to addiction medicine and clinician well-being. Previously, Ulager held multiple roles at The University of Vermont Medical Center, including Associate Vice President of Medical Group Operations.
