Heidi Schauer

Heidi Schauer serves as the Vice President of Corporate Affairs at The Wendy's Company since 2016, where responsibilities include leading communications strategies to enhance organizational growth and support over 300 franchisees across 32 countries. Prior roles at The Wendy's Company encompass senior director of corporate communications, spearheading the organization's ESG strategy and launching the WeCare Fund, as well as director of corporate communications focusing on external communication and crisis management. Prior to Wendy's, Schauer held various positions at Darden, where achievements included elevating LongHorn Steakhouse to a national brand and revitalizing Red Lobster. Additionally, Schauer accumulated extensive experience at DCI Group in public affairs, crisis communications, and reputation management for Fortune 500 clients. Schauer's academic background includes a master’s degree in strategic public relations from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Lehigh University.
