James Brookner is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in venture building, investment, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Venture Builder at Work&Grow, an online coaching platform, and as Co-Founder of wenup, an online marketplace for couples agreements, Brookner has also held prominent roles such as Director and now Venture Partner at Blackfinch Ventures. Since founding Deazy, a developer marketplace, in 2016, Brookner has been involved in various investment roles at Barclays, VGC Partners, and Station 12. Prior to these positions, Brookner co-founded Everyday Media Group and worked as a consultant at Accenture. Eduated at the University of York with a Master of Science in Finance, Leadership and Management, and the University of Nottingham with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Brookner also holds ACCA qualifications.

Wenup is an innovative digital product that provides couples with affordable and amicable prenup and postnup agreements. Our mission is to change the perception of couples agreements by advocating the benefits they bring. We believe that prenups and postnups should be commonplace, are positive forces for good in encouraging open and transparent discussion between couples, and should be made available to people irrespective of their wealth, providing a trusting foundation for a couple to build a long-term relationship but offering protection against high costs and acrimony should they split up. We believe that difficult discussions are best held from a position of love, and that doing this will not only strengthen a couple’s relationship, but also encourage them to have open and honest conversations about the future. We believe that access to these agreements is restricted by cost. Our platform provides agreements and legal advice for both members of a couple for a total of £999.
