Dean Ma worked as a Software Engineer in Risk Infra at WePay starting from April 2021. Prior to that, they had personal projects as a Full Stack Engineer working on bug tracker and as a Back end Software Engineer for a Trip Consultant service. They also had experience as a Finance Analyst at Applied Materials from August to November 2019 and as Assurance at EY from August 2017 to July 2019.

Dean Ma attended Hack Reactor from 2019 to 2020, where they completed an Advanced Software Engineering Immersive Program. In 2016, they obtained a CAAP Certificate of Advanced Accounting Proficiency from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business. Dean holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Berkeley. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Triplebyte Certified Generalist Software Engineer in August 2020. In October 2019, they obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the California Board of Accountancy. Prior to that, in April 2015, Dean earned their CompTIA A+ certification from CompTIA.
