Mahesh Hegde

Mahesh Hegde has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mahesh is currently the Vice President and Head Of Credit at WeRize since July 2021 and is responsible for making key decisions and overseeing the credit underwriting and portfolio analytic functions. Prior to this, they held the position of Director Credit Operations at the same company, where they were part of the founding team and had shared P&L responsibility.

Before joining WeRize, Mahesh worked at HDB Financial Services Ltd. as an Area Credit Manager from April 2016 to April 2019. In this role, they handled credit underwriting for personal loans and car loans, managed a team, and implemented strategies for portfolio management and collections.

Mahesh'scareer in the banking industry started at Syndicate Bank, where they served as an Assistant Manager from September 2008 to March 2014.

Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree from Rastriya Samkritha Samsthanam between 2004 and 2006. Mahesh'sundergraduate studies include a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Karnatak University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2001.
