Robert Thompson

Robert Thompson has extensive experience in emergency services and safety-related roles, currently serving as an Acting Lieutenant and NFPA 1001 training instructor at Quesnel Fire Department since January 2000. Concurrently employed at West Fraser since November 1996, Robert holds the positions of lumber grader, grade checker, and first aid attendant, with a notable commitment to attendance. Previous professional roles include customer service in lumber and building materials sales at RONA and supervisory responsibilities in grade and quality control at West Coast Plywood. Early career experience also includes a baking position at Buns Master Bakery, valued for its enjoyment. Academically, Robert has pursued fire safety education through the Justice Institute of British Columbia, the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and the College of the Rockies, specializing in fire protection and instruction in NFPA 1001.
