John Harvey

John Harvey is currently the Chief Medical & Health Physicist and Residency Program Director at West Physics, managing nationwide physics operations while performing high-level medical and health physics duties. With a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences from the University of Michigan, they have extensive experience in education, serving as a lecturer and graduate student instructor. Harvey's expertise is further highlighted by certifications from the American Board of Health Physics and the American Board of Radiology, as well as contributions to academic literature in the field of external radiation dosimetry. They have held significant roles at West Physics, including Senior Medical & Health Physicist and Atlanta Field Office Director, where they focused on radiation safety and compliance for medical and industrial clients.
