Patrick Mitchell is a Senior Epidemiologist at Westat since June 2021, with prior experience as a Bioinformatics Analyst/Research Associate at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Patrick completed a Doctorate in Epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where also earned a Master's in Epidemiology. Additional experience includes research on antibiotic resistance in Streptococcus pneumoniae and an internship with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health focusing on immunization practices. Patrick holds a BA in History of Science and History of Medicine from Yale University.
