Amy Getz is a seasoned educational professional with extensive experience in mathematics education and program development. Currently serving as a Senior Program Associate at WestEd since March 2022, Amy collaborates on effective practices in K-12 and postsecondary mathematics. As an Educational Consultant with Getz Educational Strategies since November 2021 and previously as Program Director for the Launch Years initiative at the Charles A. Dana Center from November 2018 to November 2021, Amy focused on improving equity in student outcomes during the transition from secondary to postsecondary mathematics. Prior roles at the Charles A. Dana Center included overseeing K-12 education strategy and managing systems implementation for college math reform. With previous experience as a Director and faculty member at Fort Lewis College and a Mathematics Teacher at Southwest Open School, Amy's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Counseling from Adams State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Theatre with a minor in mathematics from Fort Lewis College.
