Ann Edwards

Ann Edwards is a highly experienced professional in mathematics education, currently serving as the Director of Mathematics and Program Director at WestEd since October 2017. Previously, Ann held several key positions at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, including Director of Learning and Teaching for the Carnegie Math Pathways. Ann's academic career includes a tenure as Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Maryland and a role as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley’s Diversity in Mathematics Education Center for Learning and Teaching. Ann began the career at Harvard University, contributing as a Manager and Instructor in the Department of Mathematics. Ann holds a Ph.D. in Education in Mathematics, Science and Technology and a Master of Arts in the same field from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
