David Lopez is the Director of Equitable Systems at WestEd, where they deliver technical assistance and expert consultation focused on creating culturally responsive and equitable systems in education. Previously, they served as a Senior Technical Assistance Specialist and have extensive experience in various roles, including Team Leader at City Year and Success Coach at Creative Connections NYC. David is a co-author of "Dismantling Disproportionality: A Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Systems Approach" and has contributed to national conferences on issues related to racial equity and disproportionality. They earned a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from NYU Steinhardt and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Haverford College. David is currently engaged in further studies at the University of Chicago and IES Berlin.
