Jason Snipes is a seasoned educational researcher with extensive experience in leading research initiatives and educational policy analysis. Currently serving as the Senior Research Scientist and Director of Applied Research for REL West at WestEd since January 2013, Snipes oversees all phases of applied research projects, ensuring methodological rigor and relevance to stakeholders. Previous positions include Vice President at IMPAQ International and the Academy for Educational Development, as well as Director of Research for the Council of the Great City Schools, where strategic partnerships were expanded to address challenges in urban education. At MDRC, Snipes held positions as Deputy Director and Senior Research Associate, contributing to the evaluation of school reform initiatives and managing large datasets. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in Political Science from Stanford University.
