Krista Murphy

Krista Murphy currently serves as the Director of Early Childhood Integrated Systems at WestEd, focusing on enhancing the capacity of states to establish comprehensive, integrated, and equitable early childhood systems. Previously, Krista held roles at WestEd as Project Director and Senior Research Associate, overseeing projects related to professional learning and quality systems in early care and education. Experience also includes leadership positions with the Orange County Department of Education, where Krista led the Region 9 Quality Rating and Improvement System, and governing board memberships with the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Orange County Association for the Education of Young Children. Krista has also contributed to education as an adjunct professor at Brandman University and coordinated early childhood programs within various school districts. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Child Development, a Master's in Education, and an Administrative Services Credential.
