Steve Mitchell

Steve Mitchell has extensive experience in human resources and leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as Vice President of Human Resources at WestEd since September 2011, Mitchell oversees the design and implementation of HR programs for a nonprofit research agency. Previous positions include Regional Vice President and Vice President of Human Resources at ABM Engineering Services, where responsibilities encompassed profit and loss for a major division, and Vice President of Human Resources at QRS Corp. Mitchell also held executive roles at Geoworks and Aureal, where significant achievements occurred during periods of growth and restructuring. Earlier career experiences include positions at Nextel Communications and PG&E. Mitchell holds a BA in English from California State University - East Bay and pursued legal studies at Golden Gate University, School of Law.
