Jonas Neander has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jonas started their career at Mälardalen University as a Ph.D. student, focusing on communication protocols within wireless sensor networks. After completing their research, they joined ABB AB Corporate Research as a Work Package Leader for the European Sensor Network Architecture project. Jonas then transitioned to being an R&D Research Engineer at ABB Corporate Research, specializing in industrial embedded systems, wireless sensor network systems, and Ethernet-based industrial systems.
In 2018, Neander joined ABB Enterprise Software as a C# Developer before moving on to become a Software Engineer at ABB Enterprise Software in 2019. Jonas then took on the roles of Senior Scientist and R&D Project Manager at ABB AB Corporate Research, where they worked until 2019.
In 2020, Neander joined ABB as a Product Owner for SCADA Applications before transitioning to Hitachi ABB Power Grids as a Product Owner and R&D Principal Engineer for SCADA Applications. Jonas continued their journey at ABB Marine & Ports as a System Owner for ASC Automation and later as a Product Owner and Project Manager. Currently, Neander is employed at Westermo Network Technologies as a Product Manager, starting in 2023.
Jonas Neander completed their education in Computer Science at Mälardalen University. Jonas earned a Bachelor's degree from the university from 1998 to 2002. Jonas further pursued their studies in the same field and obtained a Licentiate degree from Mälardalen University from 2002 to 2006.
