Jamil Ashour

Jamil Ashour is the founder and CEO of Westerntechsystems Inc. Jamil was previously with ExportTek Inc, WesternTechSystems, and T-Mobile.

Jamil has over 20 years of experience in the wireless industry. Jamil started their career as a Mobile Positioning Design Engineer with Ericsson in 1998. Jamil then moved to AT&T in 2000, where they worked as a Wireless Network Engineer V. In 2004, they returned to Ericsson as a Senior Radio Access Network Engineer. During their time with Ericsson, they also served as the Principal Eng Evolved Packet Core from 2010 to 2015.

Jamil is an expert in wireless network design and optimization. Jamil has been instrumental in improving the performance of GPRS networks in the North East region of the United States. In 2004, they were part of the team that achieved the Top National GPRS performance in New York City.

Jamil has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Jamil Ashour has a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology.
