Billy Head

Billy Head is currently the Principal Radioactive Waste Manager at Westinghouse Electric Company, a position held since 2022. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Digital Outcrop Modelling from The University of Manchester, where their research focused on crystalline basement rocks to support nuclear waste disposal site investigations. Prior to this role, Billy worked as a Senior Radioactive Waste Management Consultant at Mott MacDonald and held various positions in nuclear engineering, including a Nuclear Waste Characterisation Consultant at Orano and a Nuclear Engineer at WSP in the UK. Billy completed an MSci in Geoscience from Durham University before embarking on their doctoral studies.
