John Murphy

John Murphy is a seasoned operations leader with extensive experience across various sectors, including nuclear and manufacturing industries. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at Westinghouse Electric Company since February 2023, John previously held the position of Account Director at the UK Atomic Energy Authority. Prior to that, John worked as Vice President of Radioactive Waste at SNC-Lavalin, where efforts focused on establishing a Radioactive Waste Management capability in Canada based on learnings from the UK. John’s earlier roles include Operations Manager at Atkins, where expertise was provided to the nuclear industry, and Operations Manager at Amcor Flexibles, contributing to key operational metrics alongside Pepsi-Co. John began career at Rio Tinto Alcan, progressing from Production Planner to Gravure Production Manager, overseeing various performance metrics. John's academic background includes a BA Hons in Business & Management from the University of Cumbria, a Diploma in Leadership & Management from the Institute of Leadership and Management, and a Professional Certificate in Management from The Open University.
