Jon Durfee

Jon Durfee is an accomplished engineering professional with over a decade of experience in the nuclear energy sector, currently serving as Customer Solutions Director for the AP1000® at Westinghouse Electric Company. Throughout a progressive career at Westinghouse, Jon has held several key positions, including Senior Engineering Manager for Fluid Systems Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed thermal-hydraulic and systems design for reactors. Jon has led various engineering teams, managed emergent technical issues, and contributed significantly to the Vogtle Unit 3 & 4 projects, emphasizing cost-effective solutions through lessons learned. An educational background includes a Doctor of Law degree from Syracuse University College of Law and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to technical roles, Jon has demonstrated leadership skills in academic and extracurricular activities, including serving as Team Leader for the Society of Automotive Engineers and President of the ASME student chapter at Grove City College.
