Karl Schultz is an experienced technical instructor and aircraft maintenance engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the aviation industry since 2004. Currently employed at WestJet as a Technical Instructor since September 2017, Karl specializes in recurrent safety programs, aircraft taxi and engine run certifications, and 737 NG endorsement training. Prior to this role, Karl worked as a Line Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, focusing on a variety of aircraft including the 787-9 and 737 series. In addition, Karl has been a CIC Officer with the Canadian Forces Cadet Instructors Cadre since April 2004, supporting glider familiarization operations. Previous experience includes positions at Viking Air Limited, where Karl installed and tested systems in Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft, and North Cariboo Air, conducting line and scheduled maintenance while supervising other engineers. Karl holds a degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
