Ryan Palmer has extensive aviation experience, currently serving as a 737 Captain and previously as First Officer at WestJet since August 2012. Prior to this role, Ryan was a Senior Test Pilot for the Department of National Defence from July 2010 to August 2012 and completed training at the Canadian Forces College in 2009-2010. Ryan's earlier experience includes serving as a Pilot and Flight Commander at the Department of National Defence from July 2006 to August 2009 and as the D/OIC Multi-Engine at AETE from 2000 to 2006. Ryan holds a Master of Science in Aviation Systems from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada.
