Ryell Barsky

Ryell Barsky is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in software development, particularly in mobile applications and ecommerce. Currently serving as Manager of Mobile App Software Development at WestJet since March 2001, Ryell oversees the delivery of new features for customer-facing mobile apps. Previously held roles at WestJet include Technical Lead for Mobile App Software Development and Ecommerce, as well as lead roles in developing the online check-in system and internal applications that improved operational efficiency. Ryell's career began at Schlumberger as a Software Developer and included experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Colt Engineering. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Diploma in Object Oriented Software Technology from the University of Calgary.
