Stephen Chen

Stephen Chen is an accomplished audit professional with extensive experience in technology risk and financial regulatory risk management. Stephen served as Audit Manager at Heartland Bank LTD, where an audit analytics framework was developed. Prior to that, as Head of Audit – Technology at the People's Bank of China, significant advancements were made in data-driven audit transformation. Currently, Stephen is the Audit Director at Westpac New Zealand, overseeing multiple audit portfolios while building capabilities in AI and machine learning for audit processes. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Management in Accounting from Sun Yat-sen University, and a Master of Public Policy with the highest GPA from Hitotsubashi University.
