Adam Smith

Adam Smith is an experienced technology leader with a robust background in financial services, currently serving as the Head of Technology for Europe & Americas at Westpac since June 2010. Adam specializes in IT support management and trading systems, overseeing teams in London and New York, and is recognized as an eFX subject matter expert. Key responsibilities include maintaining FX and Fixed Income trading systems, acting as a certified individual for Algo Trading development, and leading efforts for Mifid II readiness. Prior roles include eFX Sales at Commerzbank AG, where Adam significantly increased revenue and managed substantial client portfolios, and Digital Markets Support at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, providing critical support for internal FX systems. Adam holds an MSc in Information Technology from UCL and a BSc in Physics from the University of Nottingham.
