Helen Ryder

Helen Ryder currently serves as the Managing Director of Consumer Bank and Wealth at Westpac, a position held since November 2023. Previously, Helen held multiple leadership roles at Westpac New Zealand, including Head of Business and Head of Small Business from October 2020 to November 2023. Helen's extensive experience at Westpac Institutional Bank from September 2003 to October 2020 encompassed various senior positions, including Head of Business, Wealth and Consumer for NZ Financial Markets, and Head of Consumer & Commercial Sales. Early career milestones include working as a Treasury Analyst at Sumitomo Corporation Europe Limited and various roles at ASB Bank, where responsibilities ranged from Customer Service Representative to Personal Relationship Manager. Helen Ryder holds an M.B.A. from the University of Auckland and has earned several professional accreditations, including a Certificate of Executive Leadership from AGSM @ UNSW Business School.
