Lesley Nelson

Lesley Nelson currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) since April 2015 and as a Non-Executive Director at Outback Stores Pty Ltd since March 2021, where responsibilities include ensuring compliance with corporate governance and operational goals. Lesley is also a Director on the Board of Directors for the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards and the Founding Member of NATSIAACC, focusing on culturally safe support for Elders. Educational background includes an Executive Program in Creative Collaboration Solutions from Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA from Edith Cowan University, an Executive Women's Leadership Program from Stanford University, a Master of Applied Epidemiology from The Australian National University, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Murdoch University. Currently, Lesley is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering/Industrial Management at the University of Technology Sydney.
