Nick Munro

Nick Munro is an experienced leader in innovation and digital transformation, currently serving as the Head of Innovation & Fintech and AI Product Owner at Westpac since January 2015. In this role, Nick drives R&D initiatives focused on emerging technologies such as AI and quantum computing, while also leading the development of AI and fintech proof-of-concepts. Previously, Nick held various positions within Westpac, including Head of Automation & Digitisation, where efforts were made to streamline workflows and reduce paper usage. Nick has also contributed to enhancing Westpac’s digital engagement and self-service capabilities through roles in product ownership and service innovation. Prior to Westpac, Nick worked as a Business Development Manager at Commonwealth Bank, focusing on major projects and strategy, and as Director at Free Media, overseeing operations and strategic growth. Nick holds a Bachelor of Information Technology in Information Systems and a Bachelor of Business in Management from Queensland University of Technology, as well as a degree in Virtual Reality Design from Academy Xi.
