Paul Roe

Paul Roe currently serves as the Group Head of Regulatory Affairs at Westpac since June 2023. Prior to this role, Paul held various positions at the Financial Conduct Authority from May 2012 to June 2023, including Head of Department for Market Interventions - Payments and managerial roles overseeing HSBC Group, The Co-operative Bank, and Barclays supervision teams. Paul also gained experience in international strategy at the Financial Services Authority and resource management at UK Export Finance, where Paul led multiple departments. Earlier roles include serving as a Policy Analyst at HM Treasury. Paul holds an MSc in Government from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA Hons First Class in History & Politics from Lancaster University, complemented by studies at The George Washington University.
