Garnet Merrill

Garnet Merrill has extensive work experience in the field of IT and DevOps. Currently, as the Lead Site Reliability Engineer at WEX, Garnet leads a team of five Service Reliability Engineers, providing support for AWS infrastructure and microservices. They are involved in building observability pipelines using DataDog and coordinating system automation through Python programs.

Prior to WEX, Garnet worked as a Solutions Engineer - DevOps at CyberArk from 2021 to 2022.

Garnet also has a long history at ADP, starting in 2004. They held multiple roles, including Application Development Manager, Design Engineer IV, Implementation Engineer IV, Operations Team Lead, Tier 2 UNIX Administrator, and Tier 1 Team Leader/OCC Supervisor. These roles encompassed responsibilities such as ensuring consistent and effective design of IT services, coordinating system automation using various tools, maintaining and troubleshooting OS and hardware issues, and developing reports and schedules for different teams.

Garnet Merrill is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Cyber Security at Colorado Technical University, with an expected completion date in 2022. Garnet also holds the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN, which was obtained in 2014.
