Lars Madsen

Lars Madsen is a legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory affairs and compliance within the banking and financial sectors. Currently serving as Legal Counsel for Regulatory Affairs at WEX since February 2024, Lars provides regulatory legal support to the organization and its regulated entities in the Americas. Previously, Lars held various roles at Bank of the West from January 2014 to September 2023, including Senior Regulatory Relations Officer, where responsibilities included representing the Bank during regulatory exams and fostering relationships with examiners. Additional experience includes roles as Compliance Testing Officer and Compliance Analyst within Bank of the West, as well as earlier positions at First National Bank of Omaha, where Lars specialized in Flood Disaster Protection Act compliance, and at Best Buy and Bath Savings Institution. Lars holds a Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Studies from Dana College.
